| Hmm. I know I sounded like I was way up on a high horse on the other forum, but I really don't know how to phrase it any more bluntly and honestly, even though if it were said to me in that manner it would probably tick me off to hell because it reads so condescendingly though it's not really intended that way.....
Why does language and communication have to be so complicated.
And why the hell do I feel sympathetic to the twit...meh, probably because on other topics I sometimes still sound like her, though I at least tend to realize the consequences of my phrasing, whereas she seems shocked and confused and angry....when it should be obvious that her mode of posting is going to generate a bitchy response from people.

Here on the homefront, Skywise is fit to be tied. He's trying to install the new sump pump because water is already coming into the Guest House basement. He says he needs about 2 hours to do the job because of the way the pump is made. He's supposed to leave for work in half an hour.... I'm probably adding fuel to the fire, but I PMed her (in a much nicer tone than on the thread). I did let her know that under other circumstances we'd probably both have gotten reprimanded but that the server upgrade probably has the moderators preoccupied. Sometimes I can't leave things well enough alone....but maybe it's phrased in a way that she'll think about it.

| *sigh* Provided that she can think at this point and not just emote. If she's kicked over into pure "defensive mode" there's no reaching her. | |

Yes. No response from her yet, which may mean she deleted it or that she's trying to come up with a clever way of turning it back at me, but on the other hand, maybe.

| Hormones are interesting. Frustrating. Confusing.
Biological clock is apparently giving me a major kick. Interesting or someone who is intellectually militantly against having children and only slightly less adverse (emotionally) to being in the mere presence of children under more usual circumstances.
The media playing up the situation in Haiti with all the children in need of homes and family doesn't help.
Feeling a little more emotionally understanding of the whole "baby fever" thing, even if intellectually I still can't get my mind around it (in spite of currently experiencing it).

My sympathies on your current hormonal status. I'm several years past the baby-making stage and I STILL think about having another one.... Which we SO don't need! Yeah, at this point in my life, I wouldn't consider myself emotionally stable enough to be among the people who "hold" have children. That and I have enough minor congenital....oddities if not outright defects, that genetically speaking it would be irresponsible of me to risk having children (assuming I'm biologically even capable....one of the congenital issues is one of the leading causes of a woman being unable to conceive, but by the same token those who are able to are far more likely to have twins....) However the feeling has been strong enough that I've been looking into adoption rules, regulations, and costs....if my moods stabilize sufficiently within the next several years, there's so many kids in need of a good home....

| Likely as not, if we had the resources we would have probably have adopted a couple more to go along with Moonie and Spirit. I was sterilized after Spirit was born and we found out about their autism when she was about 18 months old which put an end to a lot of things, including taking on any more children via adoption or fosterage. | |

| The War Queen took care of the "restless" part. She parked herself on me and purred until I was nicely mellowed out. I may have dozed a little bit too. | |

| Damned cranky.
If it were possible, I'd say I had PMS but since it isn't, I'll just have to say I'm a bitch today. Probably be a good idea to be antisocial until my mood improves....

| I try not to be anti-social as much as possible as my "real life" shyness has always been mistaken for snobbery by just about everyone who has come in contact with me. Being antisocial just gives them more ammo. I've tried to be more outgoing but it hasn't worked out too well in the main so I've pretty much given up on that. | |
