| My dating life is a whirlwind. But for all the new fellas I met on blind dates or through whoever was trying to "help" I figured out that the one person I am happy to see is a friend I've known for 4 years. We finally saw each other for the 1st time in 2 years tonight. Our first date went so effortlessly that I just got goosebumps. He was eager and happy to drop everything to come see me. A was excited to see him again too. It made for a great evening. We even had our first kiss tonight. How could I have missed this 4 years ago? I guess the timing wasn't right back then. Maybe it is now? *crosses fingers* | |

| The thing is he's always been the most laid back person I know and he confessed to me that he had wanted to date me before but I was with the ex-husband then. So he kind of drifted away but here we are on each other's FB now and we saw each other tonight. I forgot how much I missed him. He made me laugh. Didn't judge me. Was just happy to see me as I was to see him. And what really is the clincher here is I've been asked by some people at work how I would date someone in a wheelchair. I told them it doesn't make a difference to me. He's paralyzed from the chest down since 17. But he doesn't let that keep him down. That's what I admire about him the most...his independent spirit. | |

| Tired, achy and bitchy. In need of a nap, but it's getting close to bedtime, so that's out. Got to work at 9 AM, and FINALLY got to leave at 20 minutes to 7 PM. In dire need of a foot massage. The feet and legs are yelling at me right now. Thanks be the week will be over in less than 48 hours. | |

I get bored when I'm stuck scanning images. Yes. It is true.

I get bored when I'm stuck scanning images. Yes. It is true. You had to mention The Letter People. Hated that show with a passion. I loved The Electric Company. Hey! It had Rita Moreno and Morgan Freeman for Christ's sake. Can beat it with a stick. The narrator of the Letterman toons was none other than Gene Wilder. Alot of talent. I liked Sesame Street, and adored Mister Rogers. Every child that every watched his show lost a true friend when he passed.

catching up here since i decided to be busy today. spent most of the evening at Blakus's house hanging out with him, his wife, and kids. he wants me to look up some home brew competition so i will be doing that once im caught up. of course, this competition sounds like a scam in our opinions, but it is being held by one of the most respected breweries, Sam Adams. and stuff.....

yep, the brewing competition looks like a nice scam. what a cheap and lousy way to obtain the legal rights to someone elses recipe(s). fuck all that. and stuff......

| Giant wolf spider.
Falling out of my shower curtain and trying to run up my leg under my nightgown.
Managed to knock it to the floor without killing her or getting bitten. Heart rate skyrocketed, though. I'm generally not particularly fearful of spiders, but when big ones run under my clothes, that tends to displease me.
First jar I retrieved was too small to catch her. Not that she was too terribly huge, just that the jar was small.
So had to get a bigger one and hope the spider didn't hide while I left the room.
Caught her. She got to spend the night in the jar though because I didn't care to go outside that late at night.
Turned her loose this morning in the vicinity of where the ants are coming in, so hopefully she'll have plenty to eat, and keep the ants from taking over (provided she doesn't get food poisoning from the ones bringing the poison back to the nest from the ant traps).
Once I get a stool that won't scratch the bottom of my tub, I'll be doing what I can to seal where they're coming in at, but I don't have anything that'll fit in the tub without scratching it and they're getting in at a point too high for me to see.
She was about an inch long, not counting the legs. So not too terribly big, but was the biggest indoor spider I've seen in several years....

| Just found out that Dad is in the hospital. Something about his heart beating too fast, some type of arrhythmia....forget what Momma said. Hoping it's just something from the electric shock (which he thought was just a minor thing) he got earlier in the week and not something more serious. Will be going visiting in the morning. My parents are just not having a good month, first Mom's foot and now this. *sigh* | |
