| Chilly, rainy, cloudy, of course since it's been raining. Wind is light to calm. Nearest reporting station says it's 61 degrees. Of course with the rain, it feels colder.
And, of course, it's dark. The sun set at 7:20 EDT. | |

| they usually jump over my town. its small and located in quite possibly the perfect place to get missed right here tornado ally between all of our states. that, and naders are scared of me... ive NEVER seen a funnel, always wanted to, but ive always been too close. ive driven through 2 of them at night and was heading straight for what looked like a gigantic fast black cloud that turned out to be a tornado that leveled a path around 30 miles long, but again, i was too close to tell it was a tornado or to even see the funnel.  | |

| It's pretty nice here today - about 57 degrees and clear skies for now. Problem is it'll get cold tonight - and I'm going to be working tonight.  My job requires rounds made outside to the farthest parts of the plant, and that sucks when it gets wet, snowy or cold. | |

| They're saying we could have 5 inches today which means the flood warnings are out. We're too high to have to worry about it but it IS a pain to have all the roads in and out closed due to flooding. I'd kinda like for Skywise to be able to get home tonight! | |

| There is one spot on his route that runs by a large creek and when it floods, the road is closed. During the '08 Flood, all the roads in the area were flooded, including the state and interstate highways and we were essentially sitting on a big "island". I'm thinking Kat probably knows the situation I'm talking about. | |

out of me quicker than a tornado. Too many "near misses" I guess. The most recent being in 2002 when a tornado tore up a nearby town about 10 minutes after the bff and I hotfooted it out of there. The worst part was that Skywise and the girls were coming back home from Indianapolis at the time and were driving right into the storm. Fortunately, Skywise spotted it in time to get off the highway (37) and get onto another one farther east (135/252) that was out of the storm track. Of course, I didn't know that until they got home by which time, my friend and I were sitting here in the dark listening to the local radio station and realizing that one of the heaviest hit areas was the strip mall where we'd eaten lunch.
