One of my friends used to live in New Orleans.
She had a resident non-corporeal being that would turn the hall lights on-and-off until she acknowledged it's presence, then it would stop.
It just wanted some attention once in a while.

Just finished the first chapter of my third novel. Gonna take a break and do my workout then I probably should do something about dinner. Fortunately, Spirit has already told me what we're having so I don't have THAT to figure out. I just have to cook it! Laughing

Hahm Sah...

Spent over four hours on the phone today. Benefit dinner for Dakota ( the boy that has cancer) now includes:
a DJ for dancing
a bounce house and games for kids
a face painter for kids
a silent auction with art and toys
a desert table
a fortune teller

and... the meeting is set up for a lawyer to create a trust fund for the money we raise, including on-line paypal from the website.

In between all that I vacuumed the house, did dishes, and mopped the kitchen floor.

And yes, goddammit, I'm bragging.

geez SC!! and i thought i was being ambitious by spending the last 3 or 4 hours at the laundry mat! i fail! Laughing

laundry done. finally.
gotta finish cleaning bottles and start on drinking/cleaning a few more i just bought.
all my motivation has gone out the window at the moment though.
thinking im gonna need more lumber than i thought. i forgot about making storage shelves for bottles and brewing equipment. but i was given an idea via my brother on how to obtain all that for very cheap.
this weekend is deer season.
and stuff...

omm....

started on the beer so my motivation is back!
just dragged a bookshelf from the downstairs living room into the brewery kitchen to use as bottle storage. i totally forgot about it being in there!
found a couple 6 foot tall 1x10s or 1x12s that will work perfectly as the table tops for the sinks and bottling bucket stands.
my brother is bringing back a bunch of 4 foot long 2x3s for me too.
now to get back to cleaning the bottles.
and stuff....

Kat, those 2 bottles.... i hereby give you permission to open them!
BUT!!! you must have a pint glass or something near the size of a pint glass.
start the pour straight into the glass and as the head forms, tilt the glass and finish pouring. leave a tiny bit of liquid and whatever sediment there might be in the bottle. and then drink!
start with the tan capped one first though!! its the MA. the silver capped one is the EBA and has a bit more of a bitter flavor as there were 3 different hops that went into that one!! (of course, rinse the bottles out with hot water a few times since i kinda want em back!! lol )

Figuring out holiday plans is annoying. At least I don't have to worry about the food.

Trying to scrape some cash together to get something for the boy for Christmas. Hate for everything he gets just to be from the grandparents and santa.

pay day tomorrow, so get to see what gets paid and what gets put off a little longer.

I am as giddy as a 7 year old right now (which makes sense since I'm reminded of back then). Just hope I can remember to watch it on Saturday as they say it won't air again.
Must look for a tape to record it. Gotta have one around here somewhere...

Must pay last month's rent and then turn around and pay this month's rent. After that I have to save two weeks worth of tips and paychecks to pay student loans. Just hope I can catch a break on my power bill soon.

got a new tote to convert into a utility sink.
moved 2 deer stands in the last couple days.
its opening day for the shotgun/pistol deer season.
hunting clothes are hung up and de-senting.
need something else to eat.

should prolly make my measurements on the boards that need to be cut.

It's nice knowing who exactly your friends are and who are the people that claim friendship but seem to think it is a word that can be used as casually as.....well some casually used word. Brain not working this morning, but what else is new.

Have cocoa and wish I could just chill today. But there is no such thing as a day off for the mommy.

Son made some real sweet 'cards' for me yesterday. If I can get the webcam to take a decent picture I'll post Smile
