eh, it was the quick easy forum builder thing.... i was going on all out at first and downloading all the stuff to start from scratch but after downloading everything, it NEVER gave me an option to start making a forum!! grrrrrrrrr

The damned thing just kicked me off. I was able to fight my way back in, don't know for how long though.

Grrr..... that probably means starting over from scratch if you're going to change servers. For Sanctuary, we got the software and the servers separate so when we decided to change servers, we just packed up our forum and moved. Sanctuary uses a free "open source" software for the forum. I pay a fee for the site hosting ($6.95 a month, payable two years in advance) which is why there are no ads on Sanctuary.

Oh yeah, it's still going on. We're in the final act though, or at least Rudas says so and I believe him. I'm staying out of sight/out of mind so I don't stir things up again prematurely.

Now that the chaos around here has settled a bit, I can explain a little more. The twin goals of this pack of dungeaters were to get me off of the other site while destroying my relationship with someone I knew there. At the same time, they wanted a relationship to form between my friend and someone they deemed "suitable." They found someone "suitable" and accomplished their goals, doing whatever unethical, underhanded and just plain wrong thing that was necessary to do it. However, since they did all the above mentioned things to accomplish their goals, they sent out enough hostile/negative/manipulative energy to knock over a herd of charging rhinos. That energy is coming back around, slower than I'd like, but it's coming. Rudas has already "seen" the outcome of the much desired "suitable" relationship and it isn't pretty. My friend is going to be devastated and all I can do in the meantime is wait and hope for a chance to start over once this farce has played out.
And you want to know the kicker? I was in favor of the relationship because I wanted my friend to be happy.

and ironically, happiness isnt always what a persons perceives.... which is what makes the "pursuit of happiness" not always what we want/expect. if that makes any sense.

It makes sense. Frequently, we get "fixed" on what we think will make us happy or what society tells us will make us happy and insist that the Universe give us that. Scream at the Universe long enough and loud enough and you'll likely get what you ask for which could turn out to be something very different than you expected. A person is much better off, if they are going to ask for something, asking for what they "need" for their spiritual growth or to fulfill their life plan rather than what they think they want. Sometimes, what a person wants and what they need are the same thing and it works out. Most times though, they don't and a train wreck ensues.
Asking for what you need and the ability to recognize it when it comes along is a much better bet when it comes to "pursuing happiness" than presenting the Universe with a shopping list of specifications which may or may not be what will give you the best results in the long run.

Well I'm glad the news was good for a change. It's about time the tides turned in our favor. Hope your stomach is settling down by now.
