The Yellowstone Caldera is 20% larfer than originally thought. If, and when, it erupts half the nation will be covered with volcanic ash in under a week. The 16th of December was the 198th anniversary of the first, of three, 8 plus earthquakes to hit the New Madrid fault system. Anak Krakatoa is under close observation. It may be gearing up to let loose like its mother, Krakatoa. Makes you feel all safe and secure.

Yeah, the Ring of Fire is entirely too active for my liking but I'm trying not to be a worrywart about it.

It does worry me a little but there is nothing that any of us can do about it. I am just happy that i am far enough away from the worst of the fallout.

Yeah, Dike and me will get it though. She's on the Kansas/Missouri border and I'm in Central Indiana.

There may not be time but as I've told the girls. As long as we're all together, it will be alright.

Chances are, in our area it'll be New Madrid giving out again and causing another major earthquake.

You won't have to deal with a volcano, it'll be some river changing it's course. Laughing

Last time the New Madrid fault cut loose, it caused parts of the Mississippi River to run backwards.

Need to swing by Kenucky first. My mother and brother live there. Get them, the dog, and we'll be headed your way. That's if time allows for it. If the New Madrid fault system roars back into life, we here in The Midwest would be like it is now in Haiti. The New Madrid Fault caused three 8.0, and more so, earthquakes in 1812. A cataclysmic end for many cities would result. Especially, those along the Mississippi River. Nothing is set in stone, so all we can do is hope for the best, and expect the worst. Hoping REALLY hard.

EWWWW! Vega-Mite. Personally, I prefer Peter Pan Peanut Butter, Nutella or Goober-Strawberry. Wish they made Goober-Raspberry or Boysenberry. I feel an E-Mail demanding to be sent.

This just in. There has been an earthquake along the border between Ontario and Quebec. It measured 5.5 on the Richter Scale. It was felt from Milwaukee, WI to Detriot, MI to Syracuse, NY. No reports of injuries or damage have come out of the affected area(s) yet. More details to come.

Nope. But we were likely on the road (have to check) when it happened so we wouldn't have felt it.

Here's a link to a local story on it. I was right, we were on 37 at the time.
