What headlines have you come across lately that make you laugh because of their misleading or just plain wrong phrasing?

Most recent was this one, and although I feel sorry for the pedestrian, the headline amused me:

Pedestrian Struck by Railroad

It should be the other way around. The pedestrian probably struck the railroad....after she was struck by the train...

Eh....*cringes a bit*....for years I had nightmares about being hit by trains...I'm now able to wake myself up before the train hits, at least...

well, people only get hit by trains if theyre being stupid these days. ive only had once incident that was a close call but i was in a vehicle and the crossing on the highway failed to work. there were no arm thingies and the lights didnt even come on and there was a line of trees along the railroad track. yeah, very close call cause the train was out in the middle of nowhere and prolly going faster than i was at the time... needless to say after making a few phone calls, they got the crossing all sorted out properly.

Although the tracks are defunct now, there are several railway crossings that don't have lights or bars around Downs. They were still used (rarely) in the 1990s, so you had to be pretty careful in a few areas.

Haven't had any close calls, though there was one time the train was stopped at the train station, close to the intersection (Engine was about ten feet away). I looked down, saw a line of people boarding, and since I was walking, just ducked under the crossbars and went on across.

Conductor blew the whistle at me. affraid Censored Angry Razz
