well, the entire show was BADASS!!
we got there several hours early and met and hung out with Ralf Scheepers for a while and got out pics taken with him and stuff even before the meet and greet part and i must say, i always thought that Ralf and the boys were big tall german guys like the members of Helloween, but especially Ralf. turns out, im actually taller than he is!! and his build isnt much bigger than mine either! im still mind blown that he refered to ME as the big tall guy when we got our pic taken! lol
heres a pic of Ralf. but i will post a the pic of us whenever i get it.
opening band: Sonic Epitaph
we also got to hang out with Sonic Epitaph quite a bit before, during, and after the show. they were phenominal! but this show was their last show as a band since they all live quite a ways from each other and there were alot of conflicts with jobs, families, kids, and scheduling rehearsals. two of the members are in another band called Overthrone and just hit it big. theyll be taking off soon on their first european tour. anyway, we got all sorts of gifts from Sonic Epitaph and i even was given hugs by a few of the members before we left. they said they were gonna check out my stuff on youtube too!
2nd band: Havok
Havok is a very hardcore thrash metal style band. unfortunatly, their 2nd guitarist quit the band just before the tour started so they were down to being a 3 man band. but DAMN, did they kick ass!! they put on one hell of a show for just being 3 guys and maybe 10 minutes of set up time. IMO, they sound like an even better version of Slayer!
main band: Primal Fear
what can i say?? they rocked the house, BIG TIME!! and theyre all really cool guys too! Pamela Moore is their guest vocalist for the female vocal lines in a couple of songs for the tour. this is the same woman that appears for Queensryche to play the role of Mary for the "Operation: Mindcrime" albums. she of course, has her own albums out too. she is beautiful, she is a sweetheart, and she can bloody sing!!
ironically, there wasnt very many people at this show.... and i cant figure out why. sure Fear Factory was also playing at another venue the same night, but Fear Factory sucks balls.
all in all, this has got to be one of the best concerts ive ever been to!
