I plan on being there as one of the performers. My brother-in-law and sisters fighter group is acting as security. We are called Steel Serenity. I haven't been active in the faire circuit for about 15 years. Very rusty. Need to get a whole new costume, weapons and the car cooperative. Need to get back to sword swinging too. Been too damned cold for any outdoor practice, and haven't found a place where we can practice inside. Come on Spring!

No wonder you're impatient for spring! If you were closer I could help with costuming. When you are here in September, have some idea of what you want for next season and we can spend some quality time with my sewing machine!

Well , as for a place to get a costume then you need to look no further than Renstore
http://stores.renstore.com/StoreFront.bok as they are very economical.

Renboots. if you ever needed a cheap but effective baldric then this place is for you. also has excellent boots and hats.
http://www.renboots.com/

and the finest pirate hats around is Captain Jack's pirate hats.
although "the Barbosa" or "the Captain kid" are the best suited for Ren faires as they appear more like Cavalier hats.

other good Ren faire costume places are

Museum Replicas
http://www.museumreplicas.com/

Moresca clothing
http://www.moresca.com/

Eeldryth Armouree is good if you have extra cash to spend. although i do recommend the vambraces.

Thank you kindly for the links Lightdragon. Not going to look tonight. Too late, and too tired.
