Everyone needs to leave my son the hell alone.
If it's not some kid doing something to him or his stuff it's someone accusing him of doing something.
The poor boy is a very, very friendly sort. And trusting too.

People just need to go and die.

I felt that way a lot while the girls were in public school.

Oddly enough he has no problems in school as far as I know. This is all within the apartment complex.

I'm so tired lately. Seems like my energy level is constantly sliding down. Pisses me off, because I've got so many things left to do and I just don't feel like doing any of them.

It must be hormones again. Sudden rage out of nowhere. Electric feeling down the back of the neck and into my hands.

Overstating things on ESF for now, two weeks from now I suspect it'll be an understatement about the pain.

Admittedly I have an agenda to attempt to motivate people to stop spraying their lawns before they even start, but I was honest in what generally happens to me, and thus have good personal reasons for said agenda.

Now, if only we could get my parents neighbors to stop...They babysit kids and let the kids play on the lawn even with the 24-48 hour warning signs about not being on the lawns are up.

We have a completely organic yard. No pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. We have dandelions, wild violets, native cactus and all sorts of interesting plants.
Every year we get visited by "lawn care" representatives who can't understand why we don't want their services.

The only thing that might give you a problem is the field across the road. I think they are going to be putting in soybeans this year and they've already had the manure spreader out. They use the no-till method and usually use some sort of pre-emergent herbicide since once the crop is up, they don't spend a lot of time in the field.

In the past, crop pesticides haven't been so bad (though I always wonder how much that's going to change with each new development in the industry), my gripe with that is more ideological. Most often what is put on the crops is less concentrated than what ends up on lawns.

If it's the only field in the area, and they just do one or two applications, might be OK (for my health if not my ethics). Part of the problem with being in town is that everyone sprays at a different time, just when one yard finally dissipates, the next one decides it's time to spray...and I SWEAR the golf course does it more than once in a couple of months. The university rotates areas, which is understandable work distribution, but bad when you have to walk across the entire damn campus to get to where you want to go.

At least with the recession, fewer people are spraying and the university is aiming primarily only for the mulching chips and the sidewalk cracks (Unlike the last year that I was still an undergrad, when they sprayed the grounds with something that stained all of the sidewalks yellow-orange until it rained. That was the year I was having dizzy spells and the problems with my joints started...as in my knee would literally try to bend backward when I tried to walk and came down on it even slightly hard.

Five years later and the discovery of the wheat allergy and I'm only now returning to normal (still not there yet). What I do find interesting is that while the pesticides seem to have triggered it, the wheat allergy perpetuated the joint problems. I don't know if that means I had an underlying wheat allergy all my life (probable given that I've always been allergic to dairy, and they tend to go together), or if the incident with the pesticides triggered that as well as the joint problems. Probably underlying but the pesticide incident was likely the proverbial straw.

Yeah. The field across the road and a couple of other small fields about a mile - mile and a half away are the only ones farmed close by. This area isn't level enough for crops so it's fallow, wooded or used for pasture.

You had to try though, didn't you?

And if I disappear, think nothing of it. Weather's nasty at the moment but it could be worse.
